The plan to turn Kingsbridge Armory into the world's largest ice center is getting a boost.

Bauer Hockey says it's investing $4 million in the facility.

Plans for the project include a 5,000-seat arena and nine indoor ice rinks, making it the world's largest indoor ice facility.

The historic armory has been vacant since 1996.

The $300 million project was passed by the City Council at the end of last year.
