Police are looking for a man who they say assaulted a police officer in Manhattan last weekend.

Police say the suspect was trying to shoplift from Barney's on Madison Avenue Saturday night.

He had an accomplice who was arrested at the scene.

The other man resisted arrest and fled.

An officer was treated for a back injury but released from the hospital.

The suspect pictured above was last seen wearing a black shirt, camouflage shorts and black sneakers.

His alleged accomplice, 26-year-old Reginald Granger, is facing petty larceny charges.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
