The New York Public Library is giving people a chance to do some true "summer" reading over the next week and a half.
It has a new pop-up reading area outside its entrance.
There's wi-fi, books recommended by librarians, and library sign-up cards.
Passersby are encouraged to sit down and pick up a book.
"We're here to help. I think maybe if people don't read very much, they probably just haven't found the right book for them. So librarians are experts at helping you to find something you'd like to read," said NYPL Manager of Reader Services Lynn Lobash.
"I know it's here and it's a gorgeous building. But people just walk by, so having it out here is a great way to let people know what's going on with the library," said one person at the pop-up.
"Most people just read indoors in a chair," another said.
If you'd like to check out the space, it's open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday, weather permitting.
