Police have arrested a suspect who they say raped a woman while pretending to be a police officer.

Investigators are charging 37-year-old Jason Forgetta of Brooklyn with criminal impersonation, rape and robbery.

They say early Wednesday morning, Forgetta met the victim in Sunset Park, where he showed her a badge and said he was a police officer.

After a conversation, police say she invited him to her home, where he attacked her.

Police say he beat and raped her, then stole her money and a cellphone.

The 26-year-old victim was able to give police a description of Forgetta and the license plate of the car he drove off in.

They say he also went by the name Jason Torres.

He's listed as a Level 3 sex offender.
