A Brooklyn library recently received new air conditioning units, but the community is pushing for more.

Crowds rallied outside the Sunset Park branch on Fourth Avenue.

It just had portable A/C units installed, three weeks after its cooling system broke.

Parents and kids were happy about the cool air, but demanded a full renovation.

Residents said the library is out of date and no longer meets their needs.

"Our community has rapidly grown. There's so many kids who come to this library. And it's unfortunate that sometimes, we come here and there's not enough space for us," said one resident at the rally.

"I feel that it's so unfair for people to have to go to other neighborhoods, such as Park Slope, Fort Greene, even, Bay Ridge. Why are we left alone?" said another resident at the rally.

"There's not a lot of space, and, like, I wish there was, like, board games," said a third person at the rally.

Brooklyn Public Library, which provided the portable A/C units, said it's always looking to improve community libraries, but struggles with budget limitations. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
