A ticket stub from Lou Gehrig's final day in baseball sold for more than $95,000 at auction Thursday.

The ticket was signed by the New York Yankees legend on the day he retired, July 4, 1939.

It is one of only two tickets from Gehrig's last game that are known to have survived.

Gehrig left baseball after coming down with the nerve disorder which became commonly known as Lou Gehrig's Disease.
