A former city police officer acquitted of raping a woman inside her Manhattan apartment reportedly is suing his accuser and the city.
The Daily News says Kenneth Moreno is seeking $57 million.
Moreno says his accuser is an opportunist who made up her story.
He also claims prosecutors railroaded him despite questions about her credibility and a lack of physical evidence.
The News says Moreno's accuser could not be reached for comment.
Moreno and his ex-partner were accused of raping the woman after helping her into her East Village apartment in December 2008.
A jury found both men not guilty of rape.
But they were convicted of official misconduct and served time in prison.
