Langone Medical Center is set to receive more Sandy recovery aid.
Senator Charles Schumer announced that the NYU facility will get more than a billion dollars for repair and fortification work.
The money will come as a lump sum from the federal government.
More than 300 patients were evacuated from Langone when the Hurricane Sandy storm surge inundated the facility with 15 million gallons of water.
In April, the hospital's emergency center reopened after a major expansion as part of the post-Sandy recovery.
