The City Housing Authority launches a new website in an effort to increase transparency.

The interactive page includes a lot of inside information like the size of the wait-list for public housing.

The site will be updated monthly.

NYCHA says the website makes the authority more accountable to its tenants.

The agency is often criticized for long wait times for repairs, but the numbers appear to be improving.

As of June, they've reported about 81,000 open work orders. That's down from 270,000 in April of last year.

NYCHA says the average wait for routine maintenance repairs has also dropped from 129 days to four days in that same period.

To visit the site, go to nyc.gov/nycha/metrics.
