A bystander helped a mother after police say her stroller rolled off the platform and onto the tracks.

It happened just after 11 a.m. at the Jamaica Station.

Police say a 39-year-old woman went to throw away trash, when her 2-year-old's stroller rolled onto the World Trade Center-bound E train track.

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority says the mother and a bystander pulled the stroller back out to safety.

Transit sources say at no time were they in danger of a train.

Both the mother and the child were treated at the hospital for minor injuries.
