Some of the city's biggest healthcare centers are rated among the best in the country.
U.S. News and World report says New York-Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan is the number one in the state, and the sixth best in the country.
The Washington Heights-based medical center made the magazine's annual "Honor Roll".
The report studies nearly 5-thousand healthcare facilities around the nation and assesses their ability to treat people in 16 different fields.
"One of the most important things to me as a patient is the nursing care and it's been absolutely wonderful—very attentive, very out of their way to make me comfortable," said patient Carla Gravino-Lee.
"I feel happy to be ranked highly, but we're also happy for our patients, because it gives them a further sense of encouragement for coming here and further sense of trust in what we do here with them," said Dr. Joseph Tenenbaum, of New York-Presbyterian Hospital's Cardiology & Medicine center.
Other city hospitals that made the list were NYU Langone Medical Center and Mount Sinai Hospital.
They ranked 15th and 16th, respectively.
