A Staten Island man arrested for a carjacking earlier this week is now facing murder charges.

Police now say Tyrell Brown shot and killed Kuwan Collins of New Jersey just hours before he pulled a gun on a man in Mariners Harbor Sunday morning before taking off in the victim's Hummer.

Bridge and Tunnel officers spotted him the next morning driving the stolen car near the Verrazano Bridge toll plaza.

They fired at the car as Brown drove away.

He allegedly tried to hijack a different car, but ran away when he realized it was a stick shift.

He was later arrested Tuesday night.

Brown has been arrested 21 times and did five years in jail for a livery cab robbery.
