The city's oldest bowling alley reportedly has played its last frame.

According to published reports, Bowlmor Lanes near Union Square closed Monday night after 76 years in business to make way for condos.

The alley on University Place originally opened in 1938 and became a popular destination for celebrities as well as regular New Yorkers.

Bowlmor still operates two other alleys in the city, in Times Square and at Chelsea Piers.
