Police arrest a Florida man following a drunk driving incident that killed a pedestrian in Queens.
The NYPD says 42-year-old Romulo Mejia is charged with criminally negligent homicide, vehicular manslaughter, aggravated unlicensed operator and driving while intoxicated.
It happened at 92nd Street, and Roosevelt Avenue in Jackson Heights early Saturday morning.
Authorities say the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Mejia and his 35-year-old passenger were taken to Elmhurst Hospital where they are said to be in stable condition.
