The storm known as Arthur is losing strength as it heads toward Nova Scotia.
Arthur has been downgraded to a tropical storm, with maximum sustained winds at 70 miles per hour.
The National Weather Service says it's expected to weaken even more as the day progresses.
High winds, heavy rain and strong rip currents continue to be a big threat for parts of Nantucket and Cape Cod.
Arthur hit the Carolina coast as a category 2 hurricane yesterday, causing flooding and knocking out power to some 40,000 residents and visitors.
The hurricane did spur at least one tornado further inland in Rose Hill, North Carolina.
But no serious injuries have been reported.
Rip currents remain strong along the east coast.
