You'll soon be able to tell how long until the next bus is coming, as the city gets set to expand countdown clocks to more bus stops across the city.

"The Riders Alliance" is praising the City Council for including $2.8 million in its budget to install over 100 new clocks.

The program is already in place at two Staten Island stops.

The new clocks will be maintained by the Department of Transportation and use Metropolitan Transportation Authority technology that's already in use showing where a bus is at any given moment.

Riders can currently track buses using the agency's "Bus Time" app.

Advocates are hoping the clocks are installed as soon as next year. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
