Manhattanites may be able to be beach bums without ever leaving the borough, if a local entrepreneur has his way.

Blayne Ross wants to open a floating sand barge along the Hudson River, but he needs $24 million to do it.

"City Beach NYC" would accommodate around 700 people.

On the main floor besides the beach, the barge would feature changing rooms, a beach shop and a food court.

The lower deck would house a marine science lab for kids.

But don't get your swimsuit ready just yet, the project needs $35,000 to begin the planning phase.

So far, it's raised just over $2,000.
