The Metropolitan Transportation Authority has ruled out a faulty rail as the cause of a subway derailment that stranded riders last month in Queens.

A newly installed rail did break when the F train left its track.

But after a series of tests, investigators say the metal met strength standards.

The MTA says the derailment was probably due to a number of minor site and equipment problems.

More than a dozen people were hurt.

Firefighters helped free a thousand passengers stranded on the train between stations.
