Knicks star Carmelo Anthony is opting out of his contract.
His agent says Carmelo loves being a Knick, but at this stage of his career, he just wants to explore his options.
There is still one more year on his contract.
The move doesn't necessarily mean he's leaving New York, though, as the Knicks could still re-sign him to a bigger deal than he can get from another team.
Anthony is a seven-time All-Star.
He's been a Knick since 2011, when he was acquired from the Denver Nuggets.
