As World Cup fever grips soccer fans in the city, some young players got some of their own action on the field at Randalls Island.
The English Premier League's Arsenal Football Club hosted a festival today teach kids how to play the game.
Kids of all skill levels from age 5 to 14 participated for free.
"You get to practice and kick the ball and score goals and play with good coaches and play with other good players," said one player.
"Because they do what they have to do. They put pressure, they pass the ball properly and I always try to fight for the ball back," another said.
"Rainbows, because whenever I try rainbows I sometimes make it and I sometimes don't," said a third.
The Arsenal Football Club puts on similar soccer clinics around the world.
