Grand Central Terminal may soon be getting a wide array of new food choices.
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority says it's considering a proposal to transform Vanderbilt Hall into a 16,000-square-foot food hall, restaurant and takeout venue.
Officials say it's an extraordinary place that is greatly under-used.
Once finished, the space would offer a wide range of options, from casual food stalls to a Nordic-style sit-down restaurant.
Famed restaurateur Claus Meyer would operate the hall.
The proposal will go in front of the MTA board next week.
