Police have charged a Queens man with murder in connection with the death of his girlfriend.

Amin Abdullah, 20, is charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon.

Police say 15-year-old Alexis Anderson was found with a gunshot wound to the head shortly before midnight Wednesday in a building on 177th Street and 106th Road in Jamaica.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Queens District Attorney says Abdullah told police he found the girl after she committed suicide, but after investigators interviewed a witness who says she heard the two arguing, they questioned Abdullah further, and they say he admitted shooting her.

Anderson's family said her father is devastated by the news.

"Loves the family very much, and he grows the kids as a single dad right now. Mom is around, but she don't live here," said Jean Valentine, the victim's aunt. "It's very devastating for him. Alexis was one of his special girls. She's only 15 years old. To lose her like that."

If convicted, Abdullah could get 25 years to life in prison. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
