One person was seriously hurt after the front of a Brooklyn building collapsed Thursday morning.
Firefighters said it happened at a commercial building on Flushing Avenue just after 11 a.m.
There was construction going on when the facade collapsed.
A woman was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
Witnesses said the collapse happened when some equipment malfunctioned.
"They were supposed to be bringing it down slow," said one witness. "I guess the chain had popped, so it came down very fast, and the lady was coming past, and it actually hit her."
The Department of Buildings issued three violations and a full stop work order for the site.
