The nice weather is bringing out the bees.

In Chelsea on Wednesday, bees swarmed a Starbucks on Ninth Avenue after coming from a building near Chelsea Market.

Authorities checked out the situation after complaints and cleared the infested area.

They say if you encounter bees in public areas, you should stay away from them.

"My advice is to call NYPD or call the New York City Bee Keepers Association," said Andrew Cote of the New York Bee Keeper Association. "Don't try this at home. Don't try to do this yourself."

"Something like this, obviously, it can cause a public threat or alarm. Just call 911, directly 911. Not 311," said NYPD bee keeper Anthony Planakis.

A passerby snapped this photo, but authorities say you should stay 15 to 20 feet away from bees for safety reasons.
