Rudolph Giuliani enjoys high popularity and six-figure fees at speaking engagements nationwide, but some students at Syracuse University don't want the former mayor to be their commencement speaker.

The president of the university's Student Association says Giuliani is a negative figure in history. Fliers posted at the Student Association accuse the Giuliani administration of racial profiling, citing the shooting death of Amadou Diallo by four city police officers and the police torture of Abner Louima.

However, most students are apparently excited to hear Giuliani speak at graduation.

A public forum to discuss the controversy is being held at the university Tuesday night. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
