Concerns about anti-Semitism led the Metropolitan Opera to cancel a live transmission of "The Death of Klinghoffer."

The opera deals with the murder of a Jewish man by Palestinian terrorists.

The Met's general manager, Peter Gleb, says he's convinced it is not anti-Semitic but says, "I've also become convinced that there is genuine concern in the international Jewish community that the live transmission of "The Death of Klinghoffer" would be inappropriate at this time of rising anti-Semitism."

The live transmission was scheduled for November 15.

Organizers say the stage performances will go on as planned starting October 20. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
