Mayor Bill de Blasio made good on his Stanley Cup bet, and Senator Charles Schumer took his turn shortly after.
Schumer paid his debt of soft pretzels and beer from the Brooklyn Brewery to California Senator Barbara Boxer in Washington.
The New York Senator was gracious in defeat, saying the Los Angeles Kings were just a better team.
"Now I would have much rather been eating the California specialities—but, you've got to be a gracious loser. And if there is anyone I would want to lose to, it's Barbara Boxer," Schumer said.
If the Rangers won, Boxer would've given Schumer hot dogs and beer from L.A.
