The Rangers' loss to the Los Angeles Kings in the Stanley Cup Final meant Mayor Bill de Blasio had to make good on his bet with his L.A. counterpart, Eric Garcetti, and de Blasio did so Monday on national TV.

De Blasio sang Randy Newman's "I Love L.A." on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

He was joined in Times Square with 10 kids from the 52nd Street Project student chorus.

Kimmel: Mayor de Blasio, you look like a counselor at the worst camp ever.
de Blasio: Jimmy, this is a hostage situation, but I did my best.

De Blasio also treated the studio audience in L.A. to Gray's Papaya hot dogs from New York.
