A former Bronx public school teacher has pleaded guilty to raping a 10-year-old student.

Anthony Criscuolo, 41, faces 14 years in prison plus 18 years of supervised release when he's sentenced on July 7th.

He was a special education teacher at P.S. 386 in University Heights when he was arrested last year.

Prosecutors say he raped one of his 5th grade special needs students in his car last June.

Criscuolo must now give up his teaching license and be forced to register as a sex offender when he's released.

The Department of Education says the school's principal ignored reports from students who said they had seen Criscoulo kissing the girl.
