Workers rights activists protested what they say are wage theft practices by businesses in the city Tuesday.
A rally was held in front of Liberato Restaurant in the Fordham section of the Bronx.
Protesters say the restaurant hasn't paid many of its workers minimum wage or overtime.
They say the laundry and food service industries are experiencing similar situations.
"We want they give us vacation, a grievance process. We don't want to be fired just because the manager came with a bad mood. And they say well basically because you don't have rights I can fire you any time I want," says Mahoma Lopez, the man who organized the protest.
So far there's been no comment from the restaurant.
