The little girl viciously stabbed 16 times in an East New York elevator last week is reportedly starting to show signs of recovery.
The New York Post is reporting that Mikayla Capers' aunt says she is " bravely struggling to walk and talk again," but still won't speak about the attack that left her friend Prince Joshua “PJ” Avitto dead.
Her aunt told the paper that Capers no longer needs life support and has started physical therapy.
Daniel St. Hubert has been charged with attacking the children and is being held in Bellevue Hospital’s psychiatric ward.
Police are looking at the possibility St. Hubert also stabbed 18-year-old Tanaya Copeland to death.
Authorities also want to know if St. Hubert was involved in any of the reported stabbings in the city since he was released from prison 2 weeks ago.
That includes Wednesday morning's attack on a subway platform in Chelsea.
