This year marks the 70th Anniversary of D-Day and some World War II memorabilia is going up for grabs.

Bonham's Auction House auctioned off more than 300 items from the war including several from the famed D-Day battle.

More than half the items on the block belong to a lifelong collector who says he takes special care in what pieces he chooses.

"I've gotten excited about historical artifacts that have stories attached to them and were available with the documentation of those old solider and sailors who fought for us,” said collector Rodney Hilton Brown.

Winning bids for the items ranged from 25 dollars to several thousand dollars.
