A reward is now being offered as federal authorities continue to search for individuals who point lasers at airplanes, including those taking off and arriving at JFK and LaGuardia.

It has been a problem at airports around the country.

For the next 90 days, the Federal Bureau of Investigation is promising up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest.

Last year, 117 incidents were reported at area airports.

The lasers can temporarily blind pilots, preventing them from seeing flight instruments.

Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at (212) 384-1000.
