Fleet Week continues in the city this weekend and some chose to celebrate with a special church service featuring the U.S. Marine Corps chief of chaplains.

Rear Admiral Margaret Kibben preached to weekly worshippers, veterans, and Fleet Week visitors during a service at the Marble Collegiate Church on 29th Street this morning.

She encouraged those in attendance to celebrate and remember the individual service members who have made great sacrifices.

"We are called on this day to consider what probably on most days we often take for granted. That history is not and should not be relegated to the past but is very much a part of, and encompasses, and impacts, and, in fact, determines our present," Kibben said.

Fleet Week events are going on across the city until Tuesday.
