One Ranger picked up an injury in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals Thursday night, while another was suspended for his actions in the game.
Rangers forward Derek Stepan suffered a broken jaw early in the first period of Game 3 on a hit by ex-Ranger Brandon Prust.
Stepan's status for the rest of the series is not yet clear.
Prust was not penalized for the hit during the game, but was suspended two games by the NHL.
Meanwhile, Blueshirts forward Daniel Carcillo was suspended 10 games by the league for making contact with a linesman as the official was trying to lead him away from a fight.
Rangers coach Alain Vigneault was not happy with the refs.
"If the call is made on the ice, we're on a five-minute power play, and what happened to Dan Carcillo - and what Dan did is inexcusable, and he's going to pay a big price for it - but if the call is made on the ice, he's not put in that position," Vigneault said.
Montreal won the game 3-2 in overtime and now trail the series 2 games to 1.
Game 4 is at Madison Square Garden Sunday night.
