A day after their season ended in Miami, the Nets were back home cleaning out their lockers and reflecting on what could have been.
The Nets lost to the Heat in five games in the second round of the playoffs.
They were eliminated Wednesday night after blowing an eight-point lead in the fourth quarter.
The team's coach and GM are already looking ahead to next season.
"We're just going to digest what we just went through this past year to see what we need to work on," said Nets head coach Jason Kidd. "Probably one, rebounding, but that's something that we'll address as we look forward to next year."
"Our goal is to try to bring as much of the core back and then add to the core to try to go at it again," said Nets GM Billy King.
The Heat now move on to the Eastern Conference Finals against the Pacers, who eliminated the Wizards Thursday night in six games.
