A Long Island man was indicted Wednesday after prosecutors say he caused an accident that killed a 9-year old in Brooklyn earlier this month.

Kenneth Palache is charged with second degree manslaughter.

He was allegedly trying to evade police after being pulled over when he hit a stopped car in Canarsie on May 4.

9-year-old Rebecca Ramnarine was a passenger in the car, and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Palache faces up to 15 years in prison.
