A Brooklyn man was killed in a hit-and-run crash early Saturday morning, and police are on the lookout for the driver.

Police say 27-year-old Felipe Castro was hit near Third Avenue and Seventh Street in Gowanus shortly before 8 a.m.

Police say the driver slammed into another car on the road along with Castro, who was sent flying into the back windshield of a parked car.

Castro was pronounced dead at Methodist Hospital.

Gabriel Flores, one of Castro's friends, said he will be missed.

"Felipe is a very nice person. Felipe is a good people, a working people. Felipe is a very nice guy," Flores said. "I know Felipe from a long time ago."

Police are now searching for the suspect, who was believed to be driving a black Nissan Altima.

A witness to the incident said he followed the car for several blocks and took down the license plate number, which he turned over to police.
