Police believe they have identified a suspect in a string of hammer attacks in Brooklyn and Queens.

Investigators are looking for 28-year-old Anthony Coward.

Police say Coward approaches his victims from behind, strikes them in the head with a hammer and then robs them.

The most recent attack happened this past Wednesday at the Rockaway Avenue subway station in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn.

A similar attack also happened at that same station on May 4.

Coward is also suspected of attacking a 26-year-old woman in the Briarwood section of Queens.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
