A convicted terrorist who plotted to attack New York City landmarks is relocated to a prison medical facility.

Egyptian sheik Omar Abdel-Rahman was sentenced to life behind bars in 1995, when he was convicted of plotting to bomb five locations in the city, as well as assassinate the president of Egypt.

Officials say that in addition to blindness, Abdel-Rahman suffers from diabetes and heart conditions.

Now 76 years old, he has been moved from a supermax prison in Colorado to the Butner Federal Medical Center in North Carolina.
