The New York Yankees are paying tribute to former skipper Joe Torre.
The team says his number 6 jersey is going to be retired in a ceremony before the game on August 23.
It's only the third time the team has bestowed such an honor on a manager.
Under Torre's leadership, the Yankees won four World Series titles and six American League Championships.
After his number is retired, the only remaining active single-digit number will be Derek Jeter's number 2.
As part of this year's Hall of Fame induction the team will also honor Rich "Goose" Gossage, Tino Martinez and Paul O'Neill.
