A trial date has been set for the man accused of killing 6-year-old Etan Patz.
The murder trial of Pedro Hernandez is set begin on January 5.
The judge who set the date says the trial could go on for at least two months.
Etan vanished on May 25, 1979 while walking to his school bus stop.
The 53-year-old Hernandez was arrested in 2012 and confessed to killing the boy.
He told police he lured Etan into the basement of his family's bodega and then strangled and dismembered him.
Etan's body was never recovered.
Hernandez's lawyer claims mental illness led to a false confession.
