The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating a bird strike involving a plane at LaGuardia Airport Wednesday morning.

The Federal Aviation Administration says United Airlines flight 672 was coming in for a landing just before 11 a.m.

No one was injured and the plane landed safely.

Bird strikes are a dangerous problem officials have been trying to combat.

The most notable was the so-called "Miracle on the Hudson" when a plane taking off from LaGuardia flew into a flock of birds damaging the engines.

The pilot was forced to make a water landing on the Hudson River.

Everyone on board survived.
