Marine wildlife investigators are looking into how a 30-foot whale died after it washed ashore Monday in Brooklyn.

The whale was discovered near Pier 4 in Brooklyn Bridge Park.

It died before anyone could save it.

The carcass was towed to New Jersey, where it was loaded onto a barge so a nonprofit conservancy group could conduct a necropsy.
