Residents of a Brooklyn assisted living facility are suing to try to keep the building from closing.

Prospect Park Residence in Park Slope holds 120 seniors.

In March, the facility gave notice it would be closing in 90 days.

Now, residents are taking legal action against the landlord and the state Health Department.

The department accepted the landlord's plan to give up a conditional assisted-living facility license and close the facility.

A spokesperson for the landlord believes the closure has been handled correctly, saying, "Despite concerns to the contrary, the closure plan and the transfer of residence to alternate living arrangements has been compliant and seamless...Any claims of deception or fraud are without merit and we will vigorously defend our actions."
