A new report by the The American Lung Association shows that New Yorkers are having trouble breathing easy.
According to the 2014 "State of the Air" survey, Manhattan rates the worst in the state for annual particle pollution, and the Bronx is the worst for short term particle pollution.
Four of the five boroughs received a failing grade for ozone levels. Brooklyn could not be assessed because it does not have an ozone monitor.
The report also shows that each borough experienced many days with unhealthy smog levels during the past year.
However, on a positive note, last year's particle pollution level improved as a whole compared to the year before.
