The Metropolitan Transportation Authority says it has encountered another setback for the East Side Access project bringing the Long Island Railroad to Grand Central Terminal.

The agency says four sinkholes have been discovered at a Queens train junction, not far from tunnels that already bring the Railroad into and out of Penn Station.

East Side Access construction has temporarily been put on hold while the MTA investigates the cause of the sinkholes.

The project is scheduled to be finished by 2023 at a cost of $11 billion. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
