Some Port Authority airport workers are set to get a raise.
The agency's board this week unanimously approved a policy to increase hourly rates for low-wage contract workers to $10.10 per hour next year.
That amount is what President Barack Obama promoted as a nationwide minimum wage during his State of the Union address earlier this year.
The Port Authority says it plans to eventually take similar action for workers at all of its facilities.
Executive Director Pat Foye says Delta, JetBlue and American Airlines are already on board with the plan.
