The National Weather Service is issuing a Red Flag warning for dangerous fire conditions in the city.
The warning goes into effect Thursday at 9 a.m. and lasts through 8 p.m.
The National Weather Service says strong winds, low humidity and dry fuels can make it easy for outdoor fires to spread.
The FDNY and the Office of Emergency Management are warning people to be extra careful if they're using things like outdoor grills.
