Plans have been revealed for the world's first river-water-filtering pool, which hopes to eventually call the East River home.
The founders of Plus Pool revealed plans for the floating plus-shaped pool Tuesday.
The project raised more than $270,000 in a Kickstarter campaign in 2013.
Before the pool is built, a test structure called Float Lab will be launched that will test the water filtration system.
The project has also partnered with Google to launch an interactive dashboard that will let New Yorkers stay updated on the quality of river's water.
The tool will be available online at dashboard.pluspool.org.
A starting date for construction hasn't been decided upon.
